Taro Fields LLC announces an exciting new addition to its luxury island wear store chain with the opening of its fourth store at the Princeville Center. Taro Fields features upscale resort attire and swimwear for every body type, as well as fun, stylish casual wear and accessories. Taro Fields also sells a wide array of locally made products including beautiful handmade jewelry and accessories and other unique gifts. This is the first store of its kind on the North Shore of Kaua'i.

Despite the challenging economic times, Taro Fields retail operations continue to grow on the Island of Kaua'i. Taro Fields operates three other stores on Kaua'i - their flagship store at the Kaua'i Marriott in Lihue, a beach front store on Kalapaki Beach, and inside the Marriott's Waiohai Beach Club in Poipu. Taro Fields' online store, www.tarofields.com, was launched in August 2008.

Since investing in their first store at the Kaua'i Marriott in Lihue in July 2006, the Taro Fields family Ellis Smith, Joanne Smith, Margaret Yamane, Leilani Smith, and Andrew Templeman has evolved their business model into one that continues to be successful. When the economy began to show signs of slowing down in 2008, Taro Fields CEO Ellis Smith said to the staff, "This is an opportunity for us to continue to grow operations on the island of Kaua'i." Taro Fields immediately tightened its business operations and actively sought out new locations to expand its business.

"One of the reasons we're successful is because of the quality and selection of our merchandise," says buyer Leilani Smith. "We carry women's swimwear in sizes 2 through 22, and everything from high-end handbags to casual sun dresses. Guys love our selection of Tori Richard and Tommy Bahama, and the fact that we carry golf gear and t-shirts as well."

Director of Marketing Margaret Yamane shares “We're experiencing such a positive reception by the Princeville community, from both visitors and locals alike. At Taro Fields, we strive to be a part of people's Kaua'i experience, a place people remember warmly and visit time and again. We couldn't be happier about the success of our newest location.”
