Versatile applications with silver based anti-microbial finishing

Nanotechnology has benefited science and the society to a substantial extent. It is the only way to produce very minute particle size fibres and materials.

Antimicrobial finishing is used in textile application for control of perspiration odors. Garments are treated with anti-microbial finishing so that the bacterium which has been transferred from the skin or the environment does not reproduce in the fabric.

Garments are treated with antimicrobial finishing in order to avoid cross infection by pathogenic micro organisms, arrest metabolism in microbes to control body odor, arrest infestation by microbes, and to safeguard textile products from staining, dis-coloration, and deterioration in quality.
