GMAC to organize Business Forum on May 27

Garment Manufacturers Association of Cambodia (GMAC) is organizing a Business Forum on 27 May 2009 in Raffles Hotel Le Royal, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The objectives of the Forum are:
1. Promote Cambodia
2. Promote more investments from existing investors from the garment sector
3. Promote existing buyers to buy more from Cambodia and potential buyers to consider buying from Cambodia
4. Create a platform for current investors to voice their concerns and challenges that they are facing, and how the Govt. could help.
5. Create a platform for buyers to voice their concerns and challenges that they are facing in sourcing from Cambodia, and how the Govt. and GMAC could help

Participants include
- owners and senior management from the headquarters of some 20 to 30 garment manufacturers in Cambodia,
- buyers from US, EU and Japan
- Cambodian government officials, and
- development partners.

As the Cambodian garment industry matures, GMAC's role will continuously evolve to keep in synch with the prevailing situation. However as long as the garment industry maintains its predominance as the biggest employer group in the country, GMAC will always be in a pivotal position to contribute positively and significantly to the development of the Cambodian economy.
