Haggar Clothing Company announced the launch of a new collection that includes a line of casual and dress apparel that will appear in Sears stores across the country, beginning June 1st. The new apparel initiative will bring popular styles that are both on-trend and affordable to a key, shared customer.

Both Haggar and Sears have a history of being originators. Founded in 1926, Haggar Clothing Co. has established many firsts in the apparel industry, including - first to coin the term "slacks", first to produce pre-cuffed pants, and first to offer wash-and-wear slacks.

The addition of the iconic brand strengthens the Sears strategy of bringing the most trusted and category relevant brands to their assortments.

"Sears has been recognized for decades as a source for trusted brands," said Craig Israel, President and SVP, Sears Apparel. "Haggar, in turn has a rich company heritage, having earned a reputation for quality clothing. This new collection brings classic American styles to a customer who not only looks for a wide assortment but also appreciates value. By combining Haggar's brand relevance and style with our other labels, we are continuing our commitment to create an exceptional menswear department."

"Sears provides customers with superior service and preferred brand selections, they have remarkable strength and top of mind awareness as a retail destination for consumers," remarked Jon Ragsdale, SVP of Marketing and Merchandising for Haggar. "With products that fit the lifestyle and value demands of today, our new assortments will appeal to even the most discriminating shoppers. We are anticipating a very positive trend for the brand with the Sears customer."

The new casual product collection from Haggar will debut in 843 Sears stores nationwide, arriving on Sears selling floor in time for Father's Day. Brand offerings will include suit separates, casual pant and dress pant product collections.

Sears Holdings Corporation is the nation's fifth largest broadline retailer with approximately 3,900 full-line and specialty retail stores in the United States and Canada.

Founded in 1926, Haggar Clothing Co. is the maker and marketer of Haggar branded casual and dress apparel for men. Since its beginnings, the Haggar Clothing Company has grown from a simple manufacturer of men's fine apparel into one of the most recognized brands in the market, with Haggar casual pants, dress pants and suit separates - and an extensive licensing program offering head-to-toe dressing options for style-conscious men of all ages and professions. Haggar has a long history of innovation and technology in the apparel industry, with pioneering roles in developing wrinkle-free fabrics, polyester knits, suit separates and comfort waist pants.
