Destination Maternity joins Russell Index

Destination Maternity Corporation, the world's leading maternity apparel retailer, announced that it was added to the Russell 3000 Index and the subset Russell 2000 Index effective upon the close of trading on Friday, June 26, 2009 following the Russell Investment Group's annual reconstitution of these lists. Destination Maternity was also added to the Russell Global Index and continues to be included in the Russell Microcap Index.

Ed Krell, Chief Executive Officer of Destination Maternity, commented "We are pleased to be included in Russell's widely recognized indexes and we expect that our inclusion will heighten our visibility with the broader investment community."

Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for both passive and active investment strategies. An industry-leading $4 trillion in assets currently are benchmarked to the Russell indexes. These investment tools originated from Russell's multi-manager investment business in the early 1980s when the company saw the need for a more objective, market-driven set of benchmarks in order to evaluate outside investment managers.
