Consultancy helps garment factories trim costs

A Sri Lankan consulting firm is helping several garment factories to reduce their overhead expenses, increase productivity and in the process generate a decent amount of profits, to help them sustain the economic crisis.

The consulting firm which is operating in Bangladesh since 2000 helps in five key areas other than many other areas like land and building, raw materials, machinery, labour productivity and energy costs.

Among the key areas, the consultancy helps in proper utilization of land and buildings, helps in re-training garment workers and in turn reducing fabric waste and also helps in trimming down energy costs.
