International Apparel Federation (IAF) invites all companies in the fashion industry to the 25th IAF World Apparel Convention to be held on 18 to 20 November, 2009 at the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi, India. It will be an event of great importance for the fashion industry.

India is one of the largest suppliers in the fashion industry, which is the reason for its exponential economic growth and India is now seen as a promising market for global brands and retailers. Therefore IAF has chosen New Delhi as the venue for the convention.

IAF is in the process of inviting prominent speakers from influential apparel companies to share their views on various topics:
• From vertical integration to virtual integration: a way forward?
• Asia: From a sourcing hub to a fashion destination
• Fair Trade: is it really fair?
• India: a destination to partnerships: an exciting retail opportunity for international fashion Branding into emerging markets: dealing with cultural influences on apparel fashion From fashion savvy to tech savvy: technology to the rescue of fast fashion

Speakers include representatives from Esquel, Epic Group, Shoppers Stop, Hugo Boss, Avind Brands and Bombay Rayon, to name just a few.

The convention is organized in cooperation with IAF member Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) together with Technopak as knowledge partner and is supported by the Ministry of Textiles & Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.

The conference is also made possible by sponsors, among others Messe Frankfurt, Lectra, Lawson, Mod'Spe Paris and American and Efird.
