The foreign minister of Nepal, Sujata Koirala, who left for a tour of the US to attend General Assembly meetings of the United Nations, will urge the US administration to scrap the quota system imposed on exports of clothing from the Himalayan kingdom.
Ms Koirala said, “We will discuss with concerned bodies in the Washington DC on removing quota system imposed on the import of Nepal's readymade garments”, while embarking on her trip to the US.
The minister added by saying that, Nepal's relations with its immediate neighbors, the countries of the European Union and the United States had gradually deepened through its economic diplomacy.
