Cricket Australia to join forces with Cooper Sportswear

Cricket Australia is delighted to announce the appointment of Cooper Sportswear as its partner and licensee providing; supporter wear and Interstate team On-Field Apparel. Cooper Sportswear will also be Cricket Australia's Official Online Retailer and its at-match concessionaire.
Managing Director, John Cooper of Cooper Sportswear says ”This presents a great opportunity for both high quality and valued supporter wear and State team apparel to be made available to every Australian cricket fan. There is genuine interest and appeal in cricket in this country and we look forward to showcasing some exciting new products that will meet the consumers fashion, excitement and price needs. It is our goal to develop a diversified and dynamic retail program aimed at meeting and growing the many opportunities the Cricket Australia brand presents”.
Cooper Sportswear will provide all on-field apparel requirements to each State and Territory across the four Interstate Cricket products –Weet-Bix Sheffield Shield, Ford Ranger Cup, KFC Twenty20 Big Bash and the Women's National Cricket League. Cooper says that the ability to assist with the development of the game at grass roots level is an ever important focus to his company's strategy.
“It's been exciting working through the process and a key aspect of the relationship is the opportunity to develop a fresh appearance and for all State Cricketers” he said.
“We will provide high quality, technical and innovative products that will create a new 'look' for Interstate Cricket in Australia, the pathway to the Baggy Green. Any intelligence gained from our investment in product development for State on-field kits allows us to make quality kits available to players at all levels”.
“The KFC Twenty20 Big Bash apparel range will align with Cricket Australia's strategy of Twenty20 cricket - fun, progressive and energetic that aims to attract new and different audiences to the sport”.
Mr Cooper is both proud and delighted to form a partnership with Cricket Australia and its State Associations and Territories.
“Having the opportunity to work with the respective States on their needs in designing and manufacturing custom made cricket apparel ranges is truly exciting and complements our existing Cricket Australia supporter licensed products,” Cooper said. Cricket Australia's General Manager – Cricket Marketing Services, Mike McKenna is delighted at the new partnership and the opportunities it will bring to Cricket Australia. “Cooper Sports has developed a fantastic range that provides cricket fans with, quality products in new and existing channels.
