Express naturalness with Esprit this sparking season

Oct '09
This October, Esprit launches a new collection to celebrate the onset of the festive season. Here's an insight into our design ideologies and what you can look forward to at Esprit this October.

Women Casual
October is the season to sparkle – and the perfect time to start investing in party-ready pieces. Celebrating this, at the heart of Esprit Casual, is a Bohemian look that's as easy as they come. Contemporary gypsy style prints, 'this-minute' paisley motifs, and silhouettes that are peasant-inspired define the look this October. The colours get richer in tones of Purple rain and Blue Moon against a backdrop of Java and Winter Toffee. Add dramatic nuances with interplays between extreme silhouettes – Balance statement pieces like chunky sweaters and faux fur trimmings with super-skinny treggings and denim for sophistication with wit.

Women Collection
Lush contrasts make for easy luxury. Sink into the folds of billowing chiffon and silk which go pop with a generous helping of muted Ikat and Floral prints. Pair these with extravagant knits - merino wool sweaters, capes, cable knits and shrugs that make layering for winter sinfully indulgent. Elegant shades of Prussian blue, everglade and understated chrome ensure that the unabashed luxury of the textures stay modern and so now.

Women EDC
Sweet dreams are made of the Berry Red, Dusty purple, Pearl Pink and Indigo shades that colour the palette this time around at EDC. Graphic statements are easily made when you pair this with the sensuous drapes of jodhpurs and loose, easy silhouettes. Look out for unusual layering pieces like Glam sweatshirts for a seriously rock-n-roll vibe and pair with plaid and classic denim for grown-up geek chic.

Men Casual
Esprit Men Casual presents a down-to-earth, contemporary look for the '09 fall/holiday season that expresses a new naturalness. It's easy to be laid back in looks that do the talking for you – Utility pants in a splash of colours, Nebraska embroidery that turns up on badges, appliqué and even on the back of a shirt. Layer in sweaters that come in toned-down candy-stripes for the perfect Sunday brunch look this winter.

Men EDC
Global references make for a well-travelled style statement. Inspiration, this October, stems from Vladivostok – evoking the rustic appeal of Eastern bear trappers. Bundle up in heavy duty faux fur for a rugged outdoorsy vibe accentuated with tactile textures that are feast for the style senses. Felt badges, Norway jacquards, Chunky knits, Flannel and Herringbone are updated in tones of River Blue, Amber Leaf and Pond Green.
