Frank Xu named MD of Smart Apparel

Smart Apparel Group Ltd., the Hong Kong based apparel manufacturing and marketing division of Youngor Group Ltd., announced that Frank Xu has been promoted to managing director for Smart Apparel effective December 1, 2009. Formerly deputy managing director for Smart, Xu's extensive experience in the apparel and retail industries includes 13 years in the retail division of Youngor Group Ltd.

Jesse Zee, managing director of Smart Apparel for 14 years, has assumed a new role as vice chairman of the group. Both Xu and Zee will continue to be based in Hong Kong.

Commenting on the appointments, Robert C. Skinner, Jr., CEO of the New York based Smart Apparel U.S. subsidiary said, “Frank has an excellent knowledge of the global apparel industry. In the past year, he has immersed himself successfully in every facet of our Smart Apparel business and is very well suited for the role. Jesse Zee deservedly is a legend in our industry. He has built Smart Apparel to its current level of prominence, and I am delighted Jesse will continue to be a member of our senior management team.”
