In a rallying cry for individual style, Target and Converse present the Converse One Star spring 2010 collection featuring all-American sportswear with a youthful spirit and artistic edge. The affordable collection includes men's and women's apparel and accessories, as well as footwear for the entire family, offering effortless style with an edge. This season's Converse One Star collection, available exclusively at Target stores nationwide and at Target.com, celebrates the optimistic rebel, and incorporates authentic downtown influences and vintage touches on versatile, affordable closet staples with an attitude.

“The Converse One Star collection continues to provide a fusion of American sportswear with a vintage vibe, creating fresh and irreverent low-priced options for the entire family,” said Trish Adams, senior vice president, Target. “Our style-conscious guests repeatedly turn to the Converse One Star collection for elevated design at an incredible value.”

“Converse One Star brings a celebrated heritage to Target guests through current styles that are full of authentic rock 'n' roll influence,” said Craig Reynolds, Chief Apparel Merchant and General Manager of One Star. “Season after season, the collection effortlessly offers on-trend fashion at low prices for the entire family."

The exclusive Converse One Star collection launched at Target in February 2008 and continues to offer a fresh take on alternative style at a low price. The spring 2010 Converse One Star lifestyle collection will be available at Target beginning January 2010.

WOMEN
For women, the collection incorporates touches of boho feminine chic and downtown edge seen through urban micro-floral prints splashed across tanks, blouses and easy dresses with raw edge and pin tuck detailing. Chambray shirred dresses and woven shirts worn with ivory underpinnings complete the essential casual cool look, while stylish plaid shirt dresses and tunics are stand-alone style statements. This season, the classic sport shirt is updated with back-tie detailing to cinch in the waist for a more slim fit. Spring calls for endless swimwear possibilities with bikinis and one-pieces in plaid and bright stripe options. Dip-dye cotton tunics and cozy heather fleece hoodies and pants take women from the beach to the street with ease.

Offering a variety of inexpensive options, the Converse One Star women's footwear collection is all about original kicks that suit any personality. The timeless Ox sneaker is updated in bright red and pink shades, while laceless styles in navy gingham prints and classic khaki are sporty chic for everyday wearability.

MEN
This season, the Converse One Star men's collection provides an assortment of well-priced pieces to liven up spring wardrobes. Denim updates for spring include slim cuts in lighter washes, perfect when paired with the essential chambray western shirt for a relaxed warm-weather look. Board shorts are available in refreshingly bold prints and patterns, while woven vintage-washed plaid shirts and striped tees are ideal lightweight layering pieces for spring.
