The dark clouds hovering over the highest export revenue generator from the country seem to be dissipating, as the number of orders from international clothing retailers seem to be increasing with each passing day.
A high-ranking official from an apex garment exporter's body said that garment export orders particularly from the two regions; US and EU seems to be on the rise since the last few months and in the process has lifted the veil of despondency.
According to unofficial figures, exports of ready-made garments stood at US $12.34 billion in 2009 and the association has fixed a target of exporting clothing and accessories totaling to $15 billion in the current year.
