Coastal Sol Enterprises, Inc. (CSE), parent company of Smack Sportswear, VB Superstore.com, and Team Sports Superstore, announced it has signed a deal with the AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals) to be an officially licensed apparel manufacturer through the end of 2011. The deal, which also sees CSE as the AVP's official on-site and online merchandise partner, is set to kick off immediately with the introduction of the 2010 Licensed AVP Pro Beach Authentics line at the Surf Expo in Orlando, Florida.

Key points of the deal will see CSE handling all merchandise needs for the AVP, from designing a complete product line of t-shirts, shorts, sweats, bikinis and performance apparel, to developing all patterns, artwork, and silhouettes necessary for production. Additionally, CSE will manage all merchandise sales and promotions at AVP events as well as the AVP's online store. All aspects of retail logistics and online order fulfillment will also be handled by CSE.

The final component of the deal designates CSE as the primary supplier to retail outlets. Once a core network is established, CSE's goal will be to establish relationships with regional and national chain accounts.

“We are very excited to build upon our relationship with the AVP,” said Bill Sigler, president and CEO of CSE. “We'll be expanding upon last year's success, taking the AVP brand into volleyball facilities across the nation as well as in cities where volleyball is popular, including AVP event cities.”

“Smack's intimate knowledge of the sport, apparel, and culture of beach volleyball, along with their experience in retail, online and wholesale sales to the volleyball consumer, made them a natural choice to handle this portion of our business,” commented Canyon Ceman of the AVP.
