Till date, six companies, out of which five are garment manufacturing companies have proposed to the Ministry of Human Resources to provide them relaxation from paying the minimum wages to their workers, since they are facing financial problems.
Two of these six companies, which also includes a clothing manufacturing firm, have received the nod from the administration after due investigations were conducted to assess their financial condition.
An expert has advised provincial officials be more sensitive and not hurry expedition of these cases in favour of companies, but first discuss it with the employees and also be careful in investigating those six companies' financial loss.
