A project has been planned to set up an industrial park for garment factories, in the exterior of the capital. It will be executed after receiving government's approval, informed Industries Minister Mr. Dilip Barua.
The new garment factories would be compelled to install Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), for which, they will receive loans from the government, informed the Minister.
Also, a steering committee has been formed by the government to frame a 3R strategy (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) to manage factory wastes, he added.
In addition to this, work is on the track to build ocean-going ships in Chittagong, which will generate around 1,500 to 2,000 jobs.
