American Eagle Outfitters Inc opened a 800 square metre flagship store in Kuwait on the Ground Floor at The Avenues. The launch comes in cooperation with franchisee M.H. Alshaya Co., the leading retailer in the region and follows on from the brand's Middle East debut last week at Dubai's new Mirdif City Centre. American Eagle Outfitters stores provide casual and affordable fashion of the highest quality for men and women. Additional stores in the Middle East are planned.

To welcome American Eagle Outfitters to Kuwait, and to celebrate the opening of the store, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held, led by Deborah Jones, the US Ambassador to Kuwait and some of Kuwait's young students.

Commenting on the opening, Mohammed Alshaya, Executive Chairman of M.H. Alshaya Co., stated: “We are very proud to introduce American Eagle Outfitters to Kuwait. As a company dedicated to our customers' needs we are always determined to bring in fresh and strong brands and therefore contribute to creating the most fashionable, cosmopolitan environments in the region. We are confident that this exciting brand will have great appeal for Kuwait's consumers.”

The new American Eagle Outfitters store features high-quality, on-trend clothing and accessories at affordable prices. Reflecting the brand's casual lifestyle, the first in–store collection will offer a multitude of styles, fits and washes in American Eagle Outfitters' signature denim collection. AE jeans are recognized as the number one American specialty store jean by 15-to-25 year old men and women.

In addition, American Eagle Outfitters offers a broad collection of fashion knit tops, graphic tees, fleeces, shorts, as well as accessories — footwear, jewelry, belts and swimwear. The AE collection offers the highest quality soft, comfortable fabrics, featuring on-trend styles and great value. Also, available at the new stores will be the latest collection from aerie, the comfortable loungewear and intimates brand by American Eagle Outfitters.

“We are very excited to make our Kuwait debut,” said Chris Fiore, Senior Vice President of International, AEO, Inc. “There is a significant appetite for the American Eagle Outfitters brand internationally, and we are excited to bring our high-quality, affordable fashion to customers in the Middle East. We are pleased to have M.H. Alshaya Co. as our partner given their track record of presenting the world's most prominent brands in this important region of the world.”

American Eagle Outfitters operates 939 stores throughout the United States and Canada, and through its e-commerce business ships merchandise to 62 countries worldwide.
