GEA welcomes 'Market Linked Focus Product Scheme'

Mr.Rakesh Vaid, President, Garments Exporters Association has welcomed the announcement of 2 per cent scrip incentive under the Market Linked Focus Product Scheme for apparel exports to USA & 27 countries of European Union.
While complementing the Union Commerce Minister and the Textile Minister for this positive and timely action, Mr.Vaid, pointed out that the incentive will encourage and motivate the exporters to increase their exports to the USA and EU which jointly account for over 75 per cent of Indian Apparel Exports.
As both the markets are in the process of coming out of recession, Mr.Vaid hoped that the 2 per cent scrip under the MLFPS will not only enhance competitive strength of exporters but also go a long way in boosting Indian apparel exports.
