Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina who was suspicious over the involvement of a 'third party' within the garment sector, which was probably behind the recent violence and unrest within the sector, has already received a few names and is waiting for more to come so as to take stringent action against the culprits.

She has ordered the apparel factory owners to offer all facilities to their workers which, they deserve, and has also asked the workers and trade unions of the clothing sector to work with more responsibility in order to maintain peace and stability in the sector that offers them their daily livelihood.

Moreover, she has requested both, the workers and owners to maintain harmony and has simultaneously revealed several plans and projects that, the government has framed to assist labourers. Steps to amend the Labour Act 2006 have already been taken by the government to make it more labour-friendly.

A permanent Wages Commission, Minimum Wages Board and Labourers Welfare Foundation has also been formed by the government, informed the PM.
