Second Base launches new styles for fall

Second Base, the new line of layering solution camisoles, is introducing an assortment of gorgeous fashion colorways and a hot new style for its Fall 2010 collection. The cropped camisoles provide coverage where it matters most - in the cleavage area, but not where it can cause bunching and bulk around the waistline. The camis are designed to wear over your favorite bra as a 'second basic' to provide coverage under wrap dresses, low-cut tops or even button down shirts. Known for their ultra soft, lightweight look and feel, the camis are made with a Siro Micro Modal/Spandex blend that allows for comfortable, seamless and breathable layering – not found in most regular camisoles.

Jennie Horn, Second Base's CEO and founder, created the original collection after years of working in a corporate work environment where the conservative culture limited her selection of work-appropriate attire. But realizing the solution was as simple as an easy-to-wear undergarment, inspiration struck and the first Second Base demi camisole was created. “I'm really excited to expand the line and offer my customers even more layering options,” says Horn. “The collection truly has something for everyone now, and the color palette is sure to complement every woman's Fall wardrobe.”

In addition to the existing four styles (the Sarah, Meredith, Marlo and Brittany), two new lace silhouettes, the Celeste and the Jennifer, have been added for customers embracing the popular lace trend and looking for a little more sex appeal when layering. The nylon lace Celeste follows the same classic silhouette as the Siro Modal Sarah which is designed with a lower back and adjustable spaghetti straps. Similarly, the Jennifer is an updated lace version of the bestselling Meredith, which is designed with significantly wider straps and a higher back, perfect for customers looking for more coverage especially with bra straps. The laid back Marlo mimics the traditional tank that so many women have layered with for years. With its tailored ribbed design and narrow back, the Marlo is ideal for layering under most dresses and even racerback tops. Rounding out the collection is the Brittany, which also follows the Sarah silhouette, but offers a sweet lace trim at the neckline.

The new lace Celeste and Jennifer will be available in Black with limited editions of Hot Pink, Scarlet and Charcoal. The new fall colors for the remaining styles include shades of Scarlet red, Chocolate brown, classic Charcoal, deep Navy and rich Violet. These new colors will join the previously available basic colorways of Black, White, Ivory and Ballet Pink.
