Featuring three superb new colour schemes, 24 individual products and introducing seven new garments, Glenmuir's new Autumn/Winter 2010 Men's Performance & Trend Collection ¬is their most comprehensive ever produced.

For the first time in the stylish collection, which showcases Glenmuir's most modern designs and use of technologically advanced 'smart fabrics', Performance Knitwear features prominently – with a new Bionic Finish and lambswool blend used to create four new supremely resilient sweaters.

The 'Arctic' and 'Atlantic' merino/acrylic lined sweaters feature the Bionic-Finish – a more ecologically sound water, oil and soil-repellent finish which uses nanotechnology to form a flexible 'skin' on the surface of the garment.

The end result of this pioneering finish is two superb breathable, washable but weatherproof lined sweaters in zip and round neck designs. Each is available in three colours.

Golfers seeking playable, high performance sweaters will relish the stylish new 'Neath' and 'Wrexham' models in a neat, contemporary cut and designed to provide protection from the weather while allowing the golfer freedom to swing and remain cool and comfortable.

'Neath' is characterised by contemporary sleeve and back panel stripes, while 'Wrexham' uses contrast side and sleeve panels.

In recent years, the success of Glenmuir's Men's Performance & Trend golf clothing has been built around its acclaimed Performance Shirts and this year sees the introduction of a long-sleeved model, 'Tenby'.

This zip neck, mock collar addition to the collection boasts the acclaimed Hi-Cool breathable moisture management system and is available in three solid colours with smart contrast piping.

Glenmuir's Performance Wind Tops offer superb, lightweight rain resistance and this ever-popular range features two new products – a triple-layered bonded fleece and lined wind top.

The 'Bala' Storm Bloc bonded fleece incorporates a waterproof mid layer with a warm fleece inner and tight-knit outer layer, while the 'Snowdon' lined Storm Bloc wind top uses supersoft Supima cotton for a gorgeous soft and luxurious feel.

'Smart fabrics' remain at the heart of the new Autumn/Winter 2010 Men's Performance and Trend collection, ranging from the super-advanced ThermoCool system of the 'Performance Curve' shirt to the CoolFlex HiCool and CoolMax technologies which feature in the seven shirts available.

ThermoCool is one of the world's most advanced sports fabrics. When the user is hot and perspiring, the fabric allows evaporation, keeping the user cool and comfortable. When the user's body temperature drops, the fabric traps body heat and creates a barrier to external cooler temperatures, keeping the user warm and temperature-regulated – known as thermo-buffering.

All Glenmuir Men's Performance Shirts come in sizes S-XXL and in a neater athletic fit to enhance the performance of the shirts' fabrics.
