South Korean textile and clothing producers who have operations in the North Korea based Kaesong Industrial Complex have called upon the their government to lift the ban on trade with North Korea.
The South Korean government had earlier had issued a circular to those companies who have business contacts in the Kaesong Industrial Complex to stop trading as well as delay payments for goods received from the complex.
In response a meeting was held at the office of the Korea Federation of Textile Industries on Tuesday, by around 40-50 representatives from South Korean textile and clothing firms who have operations in Kaesong.
