Carraig Donn, an Ireland-based knitwear producer, has inked a deal with the world's biggest shopping channel, QVC.
The home-grown firm has informed that, the deal is worth approximately $1.2 million (€0.81m). Till date, QVC channels have been the most important global buyers of Irish knitwear, with conjoint sales for St Patrick's Day and the Rose of Tralee totalling to about $20 million (€16.2m).
However, this is also the first-time ever that an Irish knitwear firm is going to be featured on QVC mainstream show. Over 30,000 Carraig Donn knitwear apparels have been sold out in a single 24-hour maintained TV sales drive last year, in the month of September.
