Artisan-inspired lifestyle company Palomaya, launched a national artist search to design the Summer/Fall 2010 limited edition T-shirt.
This first annual “Freedom, Strength and Love” T-shirt design search offers the winning artist the opportunity to have her/his artwork showcased on Palomaya's limited edition T-shirt sold exclusively on palomaya.com, participate in the Palomaya Summer 2010 photo-shoot and receive national media exposure.
“We're excited to launch the first annual “Freedom, Strength and Love” T-shirt design contest,” stated Lorena Musselman, founder and owner of Palomaya. “The limited edition T-shirt will celebrate the work of a Latino artist, and raise awareness of the need to contribute to the organizations that are making a difference in the lives of Hispanic women and children.”
The first annual “Freedom, Strength and Love” T-shirt design contest, seeks unique and one-of a kind designs that cater to the bicultural Latina and convey the “Freedom, Strength and Love” movement. Design can illustrate one of the following theme topics: “Freedom, Strength and Love” incorporated in one design - Either “freedom,” “strength” or “love” as a design topic, or -Day of the Dead/Dia de los Muertos.
The one-of-a-kind design must include:
An artistic or cultural connection to Latin America AND the USA - The “Palomaya” brand name - The “Palomaya” logo -“Freedom, Strength and Love”
Based on Lorena Musselman's shared gift of “Freedom, Strength and Love,” Palomaya designs are uniquely created to remind Latinas of who they are — and to show them just how special they are.
Each T-shirt is designed with the goal of reconnecting bicultural Latinas with both their Latin and American roots, cultures and traditions, so they may share them with loved ones — especially those of younger generations.
