Pressure system of seamless innerwear to be standardized

“With sales of seamless innerwear gaining momentum, it has become necessary to incorporate certain quality evaluation systems, while manufacturing these items”, said, Secretary-General of China Knitting Industry Association, Mr Lin Guangxing.

He said that, “With the continuous progress of quality standard system of China's textile and garment industry, the knitting sector too needs to update standards, in order to ensure healthy and rapid enhancement, especially with those related to innerwear segment.

"Although pressure indicators of seamless underwear will only be incorporated into quality evaluation system, it is an important opportunity and declaration", he said.

It is learnt that many knitting innerwear products, widely use polyurethane raw materials, taking advantage of its flexibility close to human body. However, experts say, people will have difficulty while breathing, blood flow could get obstructed and they may even suffer skeletal deformities, if human bodies are long under a certain pressure.

Clothing pressure has for long been studied in the academic community and it refers to the force produced by the vertical role of clothing on the body, and the load on human body is usually formed by weight or elastic deformation of clothing.
