Russell Newman completes acquisition integration

Anne Marie Kitos, Director, Merchandising & Design, Karen Neuberger – an experienced fashion designer with more than 25 years knowledge, most recently as Design and Merchandise Manager for Karen Neuberger Brand. Earlier, as Designer/Owner of AMK Australia and prior to that with Casual Trends, Harvey Cellara, Barboglio, Salaminder and Macy's. She teaches at the International Academy of Merchandising and Design and was Visiting Professor of Fashion Design at Jianghan University in Wuhan, China.

Chris Lee, Director, Merchandising & Design, Kids – an intimate apparel veteran with 18 years' experience including an extensive background in factory relations and apparel construction and materials, most recently with the St. Eve division of Russell Newman as Vice President of Design and Merchandising. Earlier with Body Drama Lingerie and Kellwood's Intimate Apparel Division.

Debbie Samra, Director, Merchandising & Design, Robes/Sleepwear – more than 25 years' experience in product development, merchandising, buying and retail management, most recently with Age Group, LTD where she managed and executed overall development of the Disney product line for mass retailers. Earlier, with Vanity Fair Brands, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Dillards, Inc and California Industries, Inc.

Bibi Okoh, Director, Merchandising & Design, Daywear/Pants – over 20 years' experience as a clothing designer, most recently with St. Eve International where she developed and merchandised the St. Eve Daywear line, along with various private label lines. Earlier, with Kent State University's Costume Shop, Mary Etta's Seamstress Shop and Okoh Imports and Design.

Operational Improvements Complement Organization

Beyond investing in its new portfolio strategy and management team, Nadeau says, under the guidance of Paul Hainsworth, Chief Operating Officer, reorganizing Russell Newman has included restructuring operations in several key areas. Since late 2009, he says the company has:

• Restructured and rationalized its global sourcing and supply chain operations to more effectively leverage best practices.
• Developed strategic partnerships with key vendors to ensure competitive pricing, quality and customer response capabilities
• Invested in new infrastructure, processes and systems to enhance speed-to-market with innovative, high quality products

“These strategic improvements give our management team a strong foundation on which to execute our portfolio strategy. We are tremendously excited about how all of these parts have come together to create a new Russell Newman that is now well positioned to achieve its strategic objectives,” Nadeau says.
