Macy's announced that it would be teaming up with iconic golf brand Greg Norman Collection. Partnering with Macy's exclusive upscale menswear brand, Tasso Elba, the company will design a collection for men featuring performance-based, golf-inspired sportswear. Greg Norman for Tasso Elba will launch in Macy's stores and online in January 2011.

"Admired for his golf prowess and entrepreneurial spirit, Greg Norman embodies success at the highest levels of sport and business, a notion that reflects the spirit of the Tasso Elba brand," said Tim Adams, chief private brands officer of Macy's, Inc.

"Similar to the game of golf, the Tasso Elba brand is recognized for its refinement, and the collaborative efforts between Greg Norman Collection and Tasso Elba successfully fuse the time-honored athletic sensibilities of golf with the traditional appeal of the Tasso Elba brand. With sophistication and quality in mind, Greg Norman for Tasso Elba is sure to appeal to the man with a classic sense of style."

Greg Norman for Tasso Elba will feature a wide assortment of golf lifestyle product including shirts, shorts, pants, outerwear, belts, socks and hats. Available only at Macy's and online, Greg Norman for Tasso Elba will be available in early 2011 with more than 625 stores carrying core product and the top 300 stores featuring the full breadth of the assortment.

"We are excited for the opportunity to expand the golf lifestyle offering of the Greg Norman brand," said Michael J. Setola, president and CEO of Greg Norman Collection. "Greg Norman for Tasso Elba will embody a much broader sportswear assortment that transcends the traditional knit golf shirt and includes tailored pieces, trousers, furnishings and accessories."

The styling of the Greg Norman for Tasso Elba line will reflect the traditional esthetic and luxurious appeal of the Tasso Elba brand, and will also feature a selection called "Shark by Greg Norman for Tasso Elba" that will provide trimmer fits with a younger sensibility in mind. Greg Norman for Tasso Elba utilizes "Play Dry" performance features - a wicking technology that transports moisture away from the skin, keeping wearers cool and dry. Another distinctive element of the line is the shark logo that will be present throughout the collection.

Inspired by "The Shark" nickname that has become synonymous with Norman, the emblem is a fitting depiction of the spirit of the Greg Norman for Tasso Elba man - sleek, powerful, and engineered for success.

"The collaboration between Greg Norman Collection and Tasso Elba is something I'm very proud of," said Greg Norman. "I've always wanted to expand on the collection's lifestyle heritage and our partnership with Macy's gives us a platform to reach consumers beyond golf."

Known as "The Shark," Norman has 91 career victories to his name, including two wins at the British Open and a win at the Players Championship. In 2001, Norman was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame, and he will captain the International President's Cup Team for a second time in 2011.

Perhaps more impressive, Norman's accomplishments are not limited to the game of golf. As Chairman and CEO of Great White Shark Enterprises, he presides over a highly successful multinational corporation that comprises a wide range of businesses, from golf course design to wine making, restaurants and real estate.
