Nest Egg Management, Inc. and its affiliates, a private investment group focusing on active private equity in small and middle-market companies, has acquired a minority interest in NTD Apparel Inc. (NTD), a Montreal, Quebec based apparel company.

Nest Egg's Managing Director, Brad Egna, will be joining NTD as a senior advisor and board member. Brad brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in consumer products, mergers & acquisitions, marketing, licensing, apparel and international trade.

Commenting on the transaction, NTD's President, Michael Eliesen stated, "Nest Egg is the perfect partner. They share our vision to continue to build a dominant consumer products company in North America. Brad brings the industry experience, category success, strategic sales and operational experience to make that vision a reality. We are all looking forward to Brad's active role in the continued success and growth of the company."

"We are excited about our partnership and eager to provide NTD with additional resources to accelerate its already strong growth," said Brad Egna.

In 1988, Brad founded Briefly Stated, a licensed apparel manufacturer that he grew successfully until 2005 when he sold the company to Li & Fung. As President of Briefly Stated, Brad acquired several businesses to form the Branded Apparel Group, a division of Li & Fung USA. Brad is now devoting his time and attention to Nest Egg and its related entities.

Michael co-founded Novel Teez Designs in 1986 (which later became NTD Apparel) and has led the company to become one of the leading licensed apparel companies in North America. NTD manages a portfolio of licensed entertainment and national brands, including Dickies, Paul Frank, Hello Kitty, Marvel, Warner Brothers and Mattel. The company's brands are distributed through specialty chain, mid-tier department stores and mass merchants, such as Forever 21, HBC, Kohl's, Sears, Wal-Mart Canada and Wal-Mart USA.
