DRIFIRE Comfortable FR Wear, industry leader in comfortable flame resistant clothing for U.S. warfighters, proudly introduces its new 2-piece flight suit and combat shirt for NAVAIR, both of which have been designed by aircrew for aircrew.

The garments feature fabrics that offer permanent flame resistance and superior moisture management properties, with innovative designs that improve wearer comfort and increase functionality.

"Our new flight suits and combat shirts have been designed and tested alongside active duty NAVAIR aircrew, have been approved by NAVAIR, and are available for immediate sale to the entire fleet," said Steven Scheyer, CEO of Optimer Brands, which manufactures DRIFIRE.

In addition to the permanent, no-melt, no drip flame-resistance, superior moisture-wicking, fast drying, and antibacterial odor control properties delivered by all DRIFIRE FRC clothing, the new flight suits boast unique design features built specifically for NAVAIR personnel.

"As we tested our garments with end-users we identified some key issues. First, heat stress is a top concern for military aircrew. Second, even the smallest details, such as the design of a button, could have major consequences if a pilot faces a flight emergency," said Rob Hines, Vice-President of Product Development for DRIFIRE.

"Our new flight suits address these issues by delivering the best moisture management in the market to minimize heat stress, as well as incorporating design features that reduce issues such as snag hazards. Our new designs give wearers maximum comfort and protection in the air and on the ground."

The new flight suits represent an important addition to the existing DRIFIRE product line.

"Adding these protective outerwear pieces to our already popular line of layering garments allow us to offer end-users a complete clothing system that maximizes comfort and safety," said Scheyer.

"Layering the flight suits with our short and long-sleeve shirts, boxer briefs and long-johns, and combining them with our head protection gear, such as balaclavas and skull caps, will ensure that warfighters will be protected while achieving maximum comfort. This is another great step that fulfills our company's mission."

DRIFIRE, a premier developer, manufacturer and marketer of comfortable flame resistant clothes, offers garments that provide optimal comfort, moisture management and flame resistance to people working in the military, law enforcement, electric utilities, and other environments where flame and arc-flash are a concern. DRIFIRE's superior drirelease technology and wide product selection have helped it quickly become one of the leading retailers of comfortable FR garments today.
