Considering the recent change in consumer demand, France's European Stretch Fabrics (ESF) has decided to concentrate more on manufacturing yarns and textiles for active and sportswear segment.
The company is a manufacturer of innerwear and lingerie's, with all its resources diverted towards the same. However, now the company has diversified into production of sportswear fabrics, which with a 40 percent share, is the largest segment of the company, said the company's spokesman, Bernard de Buhren.
He added that, intimate textiles now account for 30 percent of the company's business, while industrial fabrics represent 20 percent of the business and fashion and beachwear accounts for 10 percent.
It first of all ventured in the sportswear segment for competition sportswear and subsequently diversified to triathlon fabrics. Presently, the company churns out sportswear for various sports like running, trekking and cycling.
