Terry Pillow, CEO of the Tommy Bahama Group, has announced the appointment of Martin Coles to Managing Director of International. This strategic appointment validates the global interest in Tommy Bahama as one of the most desirable lifestyle brands in the market today. Mr. Coles' appointment is effective immediately.

"With the strength of the Tommy Bahama brand in the United States, it has never been a better time to extend our brand internationally," says Mr. Pillow. "Martin and I had an opportunity to work together at Reebok and I have a tremendous amount of respect for him and his knowledge and understanding of the international market place."

In this newly created position, Mr. Coles will be responsible for managing all existing international business as well as expansion into new markets. Tommy Bahama currently has licensed retail stores and distribution in Canada, Australia and Dubai and is well positioned for further international growth.

"I have every confidence that the values and lifestyle embodied by Tommy Bahama together with our unique sense of style and attention to detail in all aspects of our product offerings will resonate as strongly in international markets as they do within the U.S.," says Mr. Coles.

Mr. Coles brings over 30 years of international business experience with multinational corporations that are all recognized as leaders in their industries. Most recently, Mr. Coles served as President of Starbucks International which during his tenure grew its international presence to nearly 5,400 stores in 51 countries. "I am tremendously excited at the opportunity that lies ahead for us as we introduce Tommy Bahama to the international community," says Mr. Pillow. "Martin has a proven track record of expanding great brands into the international market, and I am certain he will be successful with yet another great brand, Tommy Bahama."
