Peter England chases Rs 10 bn in revenues

Aditya Birla Nuvo's mid-priced apparel brand Peter England Fashion and Retail (PEFR), aims to generate revenues worth Rs. 10 billion from sales, over the next three years. For, this fiscal, the company has set a target to achieve turnover of Rs five billion as against earnings of Rs four billion in 2009-10.

Kedar Apshankar, Chief Operating Officer, PEFR, said that, the country's leading menswear brand in terms of volume, each year vends around six million garments.

The brand also proposes to introduce several accessories for men. However, the proposal is in its infancy stage and the company is surveying the market prospects for 50 accessory items, and probably may launch five of them in the market in next six months. He further stated that, the company has recently launched its denims and club wear collection, tagged as 'Peter England Party'.

Telugu actor Siddharth has been signed to endorse the brand. Also the company, after a long gap of six years is again resuming television commercials, with its new advertisement set to go on air within a week.

Apshankar further stated that, they have plans to come up with new products and designs, mainly for youngsters under 25 years of age.

The company has above 600 stand-alone and 2,000 multi-brand stores across 650 cities in India, and proposes to launch 150 outlets, irrespective of format, each year for next three years.
