Alexium Incorporated, a company from Perth has inked an agreement with a textile producer based in US to provide it with technology required for producing specialist uniforms used in one of the US's most popular sporting past times.
Alexium International Group Limited's subsidiary Alexium Incorporated recently revealed that, after two long years of discussions, it has succeeded in finalising a commercial deal with SSM Industries of Spring City, Tennessee, whereby it would supply SSM with the technology used for producing the personal safety wear of National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR).
NASCAR is one of the biggest and most accepted entertainment products finding place amongst various events on US's annual sporting event calendar.
The agreement entails an option to licence the Alexium Incorporated's Reactive Surface Treatment (RST) technology, which is a treatment that adds fire and water proof qualities and also oil repellent property to the apparels. As per the agreement, SSM would try this RST technology for preparing racing suits, coveralls, re-fuelers and flame retardant gloves which would be exclusively put up for sale in the US markets, for next one year.
Gradually, oil repellence on high-visibility work wear and fire retardant work wear may also be brought within the ambit of the agreement.
