Jaeger joins hand with JamilCo

Jaeger, the heritage British fashion brand, announces plans to enter the Russian market through a strategic partnership with JamilCo, one of Russia's leading luxury brand distributors.

The first two Jaeger London stores, of approximately 130 sqm, open in spring 2011 in central Moscow in the luxury Vremena Goda mall on Kutuzovskii Prospekt and Metropolis on Leningradskii Prospekt. Further Jaeger London stores are planned for autumn 2011 in both Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Belinda Earl, Jaeger's Group Chief Executive, comments: "We are delighted to be expanding into the Russian market with Jaeger London, along with our Jaeger Black and Boutique by Jaeger collections. The Russian market is dynamic and vibrant, and we look forward to attracting new customers to Jaeger."

Adrian McAllister, Jaeger's International Director, adds: "JamilCo is very well established in the market as an experienced partner of luxury brands. We are delighted to be working with JamilCo as we develop and expand in Russia."

Khaled Jamil, JamilCo president, comments: "We are delighted to introduce Jaeger, the British brand, to the Russian market. Jaeger has global appeal and we are positive that Russian consumers will appreciate the brand's heritage of noble fibres and unique designs."

Established in 1884, Jaeger is a luxury British fashion brand, renowned for designing contemporary, innovative and stylish womenswear, menswear, accessories and homewear.

JamilCo is a dynamic holding company, was founded in 1988. Since 1993, the company has become an active participant of the retail market of clothes and accessories, has launched on the market the following global brands: Levi's, Swatch, Dior, Burberry and Hermes.
