Stitch, the dedicated menswear trade show, which took place this week, reported record results of over 6,000 visitors with website registrations up 64% compared with the previous show.

Stitch founder and Managing Director Brian Duffy commented,“This show has definitely exceeded my expectations in terms of visitors and brand mix. We have had 55% of brands already re-signed including Nicholas Deakins, Duke Clothing, Common People, Deakins and Gabicci Vintage.”

The co-location with Pure Spirit has proved to be successful, offering the largest line-up of men's and women's fashion since the days of 40 degrees; with a stronger than ever presence from UK and international buyers. Bobby Langley from Deconstruction commented, “The product has been received well from UK visitors and we've had lots of interest from overseas buyers.”

Over 1000 guests from Stitch, Luke and the Drapers independent retailer dinner celebrated the launch of the AW11 season in style at London's west end venue The Den & Centro. Guests were treated to complimentary tequila from Luke's mini man and ice luge in The Den downstairs with Bands such as The Hoosiers headlining, Benji Boko mixing and fire juggling ladies upstairs in Centro.

Once again Vision presented a selection of the very best emerging visionary designers with Baartmans and Siegel, david david, James Small and Dirty Youth. Amber Siegel commented “I think the Vision concept is a great idea… Stitch has given us brilliant exposure to the British Menswear market.”

Stitch founder, Brian Duffy: “Overall the show has been a huge achievement and the co-location arrangement with Pure Spirit proved to be successful. I'm positive we are making the right steps forward in putting the UK firmly back on the map for international trade shows.

I am very excited about the future of Stitch and have a number of new developments that we will be introducing for the next summer show aimed at elevating Stitch to a new level; including increasing the amount of floor space from 2,000 to 3,000 square metres.

Stitch has brought in Radiator to support on PR and marketing activity. They will specifically be handling brand association and experiential opportunities to enhance the show going forward.

Within this new working relationship Radiator will be offering young brands a bespoke PR package through their new division within the agency called Incubator PR; this service is dedicated to giving start-up, small and growing brands the specialist and cost effective PR support they need.

Stitch will be co-locating with Pure Spirit for the SS12 edition taking place in Earls Court Two, London, 7-9 August 2011.
