Global athletic leader New Balance announced the signing of all-star and award-winning third baseman, Kevin Youkilis, to a multi-year endorsement contract. New Balance will be Youkilis' official on-field footwear and on and off-field athletic footwear and apparel provider and will partner with him to sponsor his “Youk's Kids” charity, including the newly launched “Athletes for Heroes” program.

“I'm excited to join forces with New Balance, they are an innovative brand and their performance footwear and apparel will help take my game to another level,” says Kevin Youkilis. “I am also proud to partner with a company that continues to make shoes in the United States and that is eager to support my charitable programs which are really important to me.'”

“We are thrilled to partner with Kevin, an all-star athlete with great personal integrity, who has enthusiasm and a passion for making a difference in the lives of children,” says Mark Cavanaugh, general manager of sports marketing at New Balance. “New Balance admires and shares his commitment to our local communities, and we look forward to supporting him on the diamond and through the "Youk's Kids” events.

New Balance will serve as presenting sponsor for all Kevin Youkilis “Youk's Kids” events. The mission of "Youk's Kids” is to raise funds and awareness to support existing community-based children's charities and medical research programs to ensure the health and well-being of children in New England. New Balance will also support the “Athletes for Heroes” program, which provides financial support for children who have lost a parent or have a parent who has been severely injured serving our country.

This season, Youkilis will be wearing a special make-up of the New Balance 1103 baseball spike. Dubbed a “running shoe on spikes,” the 1103 features high performance running technologies to eliminate spike pressure and give an athlete superior comfort and fit on the field.
