A Pea in the Pod Collection at Maternity Fashion Show
Apr '11
A Pea in the Pod is a proud supporter of PAM and will once again be participating in its annual free event in Los Angeles. On Sunday, May 1, 2011 from noon to 4:00 PM at the Writer's Boot Camp building located in the Bergamot Station Arts Center, friends and families will celebrate pregnancy and motherhood. Celebrities Ali Larter, Amy Smart, Anna Getty and Brenda Strong will host a day of discovering products, food, fashion, music and symposiums to kick-off the month of awareness!

PAM is designed for expectant moms, new parents, women considering pregnancy, and families. Attendees will be treated to a variety of fun, free, and family-friendly activities. The first 200 people will receive a special PAM gift bag, and raffles will be held throughout the day.

The highlight of the day will be a maternity fashion show presented by A Pea in the Pod, hosted by Amy Tara Koch, best-selling author of "Bump it Up," and produced by Expecting Models. The show features fashions that will transport you to an exotic summer excursion. Featuring the same exuberant palette of the region's flora, this collection incorporates multi-color prints, rich embroideries, airy fabrics and looks for every occasion in order to create a fresh Marrakech vibe.

The one-of-a-kind finale piece, designed by A Pea in the Pod Collection™'s Elizabeth Shane Quinn, combines the vibrancy of the Moroccan culture with the eco-friendly conscience so important in today's world. Using 100% all natural fabrics and hand-dying techniques, this show-stopping convertible gown will undergo a dramatic transformation at the slip of a ribbon.

Quinn's tenure with A Pea in the Pod and A Pea in the Pod Collection includes designing dresses, woven tops, jackets, and skirts for the high-end maternity brands. She recently designed an evening gown for Laila Ali that was featured in New York Fashion Week's Annual Heart Truth runway show.

A Pea in the Pod is the brand of Destination Maternity Corporation.
