Message of hope in Summer 2011 Nike LIVESTRONG

LIVESTRONG and NIKE Inc announced the expansion of the Nike LIVESTRONG collection to the province of Quebec as a way to continue spreading awareness for the foundation and its message of hope.

The Summer 2011 Nike LIVESTRONG collection, is rooted in performance, style and function, with a full line of items ranging from accessories to apparel and footwear. A proud supporter of the LIVESTRONG collection is P.K. Subban of the Montreal Canadiens. Subban, whose grandmother passed away from breast cancer when he was nine, is excited to see the LIVESTRONG collection come to the province of Quebec.

"I believe in LIVESTRONG and its mission to improve the lives of those who are affected by cancer. Having experienced cancer first-hand in my family, I realize how important it is to give individuals and organizations the resources and support they need to fight cancer effectively," said P.K. Subban. "The Nike LIVESTRONG collection is an innovative way to raise awareness and provide encouragement."

LIVESTRONG is the brand of the Lance Armstrong Foundation, created in 1997 by the cancer survivor and champion cyclist to serve people living with cancer and empower communities to take action. Since 2004, Nike has helped the Lance Armstrong Foundation raise more than $80 million.

"Nike's support allows LIVESTRONG to serve people fighting cancer and empower communities to take action. Together, we hope to spread LIVESTRONG's message of hope and perseverance to new markets all over the globe," said Doug Ulman, LIVESTRONG president and CEO. In addition to Nike stores, the Summer 2011 Nike LIVESTRONG collection will also be offered exclusively at Sports Experts stores across the province of Quebec, beginning April 16, 2011.
