In one of the biggest announcements of 2011 for Unit, the rapidly expanding clothing company has announced a multi-year deal with one of the world's most innovative and exciting freestyle motocross riders, Thomas Pagès.
Pagès, 26, was among the first riders in the world to land the Front-flip, has attempted tricks like the Decade Air at X Games, and has mastered the 75ft Volt body varial.
The Frenchman used the Volt to good effect last month when he unseated Spain's Dany Torres at the X-Knights contest in Costa Rica. What made Pagès' victory even more amazing was how he beat Torres without even performing a Backflip combination in his run. “Few people would argue that Tom Pagès is one of the most exciting riders in the world to watch,” says Unit founder Paul Everest.
“He executes every trick with perfection, his Turndown Whips have to be the best in the world, and his creative ability to think outside the box and try tricks no-one else has even considered makes him a perfect fit for the Unit brand.”
Pagès will hold a pivotal role in future Unit projects as the company turns its attention to progressing the sport of freestyle motocross.
