With a view to help the domestic garment entrepreneurs survive in these times of free global trade, the Indonesian Association of Garment and Accessories Suppliers (APGAI) has teamed up with the Worth Global Style Network (WGSN), a top analyst in the trend, colour, fabric and fashion industries.
APGAI said that, they are nervous about the industry's future, as earlier around 60 percent of the APGI members' goods were consumed by the Indonesian markets, but in recent years this figure has dropped to 40 percent, due to penetration of more international brands in Indonesian markets.
It revealed that, the association called upon WGSN for imparting training to the domestic entrepreneurs to help them enhance quality of their goods.
The London based WGSN would aid the local entrepreneurs to produce items which in spite of being locally designed, would match European trends.
