Zara admits to mislabeling in mens trousers

11 May '11
1 min read

Responding to the results of quality tests carried out on its garments by Beijing Consumer Association (BCA), China in April 2011, Inditex has admitted that the Zara men's trousers were incorrectly labeled.

The labels on the trousers did not mention the acrylic and viscose content, which are required to be expressed as 'other fibres' under Chinese regulation.

The Spanish retail firm, however, emphasized that the trousers do not contain any forbidden and/or restricted substance content and it poses no health or safety risk.

Zara's quality control department has assured that it will be correcting the label to avoid any such lapse in future.
