A Klass Fashions, which owns the brand Chic Carissimo, has been tempted to enter boyswear segment drawn by the Indian consumer growth story.

Ms Geeta Singh, Director- A Klass Fashions, while divulging her plans to Fibre2fashion, informed, "Under brand 'Yo Bro', we have already launched lounge and sleepwear for boys. The brand is likely to hit the stores by June 10. Around September we shall also start loungewear and sleepwear line for girls under the brand 'Chicita', and 'Carrisimo' for womens category."

She added, “The Chicita range of sleepwear/loungewear will continue. The only change in our strategy is to introduce 18-20 designs every month rather than doing it season to season”.

Revealing their expansion plans further, she said, “Expansions are going on continuously; we have been adding 100-150 machines every six months. From about 15,000 sq.ft of space, two years back, we now have expanded to almost 45,000 sq.ft.”

“We have about 10 offices all over the country and a dealer network through which we supply all over the country. We have a dedicated sales team and managers, who supply directly to dealers and give them a price benefit, which in turn delivers more sales and coverage in the market”, she said.

When quizzed about exclusive outlets, she informed, “We do not have exclusive outlets because right now we do not have a complete range of lingerie. For ladies we are only doing panties but by next year we are planning to add brassieres also. Once we have a complete range of lingerie, we may explore this possibility also”.
