Shop for Change Fair Trade to celebrate World Environment Day

Shop for Change Fair Trade, a section 25 not for profit company that promotes the concept of Fair Trade in India, along with the support of Idobro is celebrating World Environment Day on June 5th 2011. Being among a variety of NGO's that will be coming together to support the environment, Shop for Change Fair Trade will be the only Fair Trade organization to be present along with 20 other NGO's.

For the first time, Shop for Change Fair Trade will be presenting a range of Fair Trade certified mango products that be on offer for special tastings. Orders can then be placed for the upcoming Diwali season. These products will range from mango pickles, to mango jams, etc. In addition to this, Shop for Change will also have a range of Fair Trade certified T-shirts by No Nasties.

The activation is a consolidated effort of various NGO's and women entrepreneurs to sensitize people to lead an eco-friendly, sustainable lifestyle. There will also be an education drive for children comprising quizzes and other interactive techniques that spell Green.

Shop for Change Fair Trade, a not for profit organization which builds on successful international models of fair trade certification, was established by Traidcraft Exchange (UK) and International Resources for Fairer Trade (India) and is funded by the European Union and Dutch Foundations ICCO and Hivos.
