Known also as the 'green Oscars', The Observer Ethical Awards have been running for six years. In association with Ecover, the awards recognise across a total of 12 categories, organisations and individuals whose work makes day-to-day ethical living more accessible and achievable.

As always, members of the public were able to nominate the best and brightest individuals, organisations or companies who continually strive to put the environment first. Last year's winners included Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, who beat Jamie Oliver and Joanna Lumley to take the title of Campaigner of the Year for his Landshare project.

This year's judging panel has top eco credentials, and includes Oscar winner Colin Firth and his wife Livia, catwalk model Lily Cole, and adventurer Ben Fogle.

Observer Ethical Awards – Category Fashion and Accessories:
This category supports the growth of ethical fashion labels and products and is sponsored by Vogue. From London Fashion Week to the High Street, ethical fashion is increasingly seen as both aspirational and accessible. The award recognises companies who are committed to lightening fashion's footprint and creating an ethical supply chain.
