A new research report from market intelligence company Mintel informs that US retail sales in the holiday season of November and December 2016 are forecast to rise by just 1.3 per cent over 2015 to total $692 billion, the slowest growth rate since 2006. Much of the increase in sales this holiday season will be fueled by online and non store shopping.
