Indian sewing machine brand Usha emerged at 75th rank amongst the 100 most trusted brands in the 'Most Trusted Brands' 2015 annual survey.

“From being ranked 116th last year, Usha has risen to the 75th most trusted brand in the country this year making it one of the biggest gainers,” Usha said in a press release.

This survey identifies brands that have the consumer's trust and attributes researched included; quality, value for money, worthy of recommendation to friends and family and understanding consumer needs.

Conducted by AC Nielsen, this survey remains among the largest researches of its kind in India, with a design sample of 7,200, distributed across socio economic classifications, age, income and geography.

CEO at Usha International Dinesh Chabbra said, “We are very happy to gain a position among the top 100 'Most Trusted Brands' in India.

“The survey has highlighted the strong consumer trust for brand Usha and has shown that our efforts in the last year have been in the right direction,” he added.

Usha has changed its strategy by introducing better designed, aesthetic products that provide a healthier lifestyle to consumers while saving time and energy.

It has also created a stronger connect with the younger generation by evolving its communication for the brand, by strengthening its brand presence and visibility on air, digital and experiential BTL activities.

Usha has been supportive of numerous sporting initiatives and strongly believes in the brand ethos 'play'.

“Associating with sporting events like cricket, golf and frisbee have helped Usha increase its connect with the youth and portray itself as a youthful brand,” the press release added.

USHA International with a turnover of about Rs 2000 crore has 16 offices, 64 company showrooms, 34 warehouses and 220 service centres backed by an in-house customer call centre. (AR)
