Will Smith joins Abercrombie & Fitch as new CMO

Will Smith has joined global apparel retailer Abercrombie & Fitch as the new chief marketing officer (CMO), and will be responsible for all brand, creative and digital marketing activities and reporting to president Fran Horowitz. Smith joins Abercrombie & Fitch from Calerres Inc., where over the past nine years he has served in senior marketing roles.

Smith joined Famous Footwear/Brown Group Retail, now known as Calerres in 2008, where under his leadership, the company achieved rapid ecommerce traffic gains and revitalised a customer loyalty program that now delivers nearly three-quarters of the company’s annual revenue.

Prior to joining Famous Footwear/Brown Group Retail, he worked for companies like Kraft, Atlantic Records, and Liz Claiborne, in various brand and marketing roles. (AR)
