 A|wear is delighted to announce the launch of its very first summer collection with Peter O'Brien. Having designed three highly successful winter collections, Peter has now created a beautiful capsule summer wardrobe for the first time.
Much thought and attention to detail has been paid to each design which are all exclusive to the A|wear customer. The entire collection consists of just 24 pieces in total & like all of Peter's previous collections for A|wear is limited edition.
Speaking on the collection Annmarie Flood, CEO A|wear, said, "Following the success of Peter's past winter collections, I felt there was an opportunity to offer our customer something really special for summer, using both silk & cashmere & introducing a little more colour. Once again, Peter never fails to amaze me."
"As a designer his love of attention to detail is evident across every single piece. From beautiful blouson detailing on the dresses to a simple spotted neck tie scarf added to the cashmere knits. Now more so than ever, we also know that the price point has become so much more important to our customer. We have focused all our efforts on ensuring each piece is not only beautiful but also affordable.”
The fabric choices & colour palette also play a key role in this year's collection. From silk to crepe de chine & cashmere, so much thought and attention to detail was paid to each design. Beautiful guipure lace was dyed to match the silk in the dresses & the spotted chiffon lining in the cashmere is just the sort of detail that the Peter O'Brien customer loves, discrete yet luxurious. Peter's signature detailing on this year's summer collection is the polka dot. Scattered across the dresses, blouses & silk skirts in the softest shades of duck egg blue, mauve and cream, simple yet so so elegant.
Speaking on the launch, Peter O'Brien said "It's a summer collection so for me, the dress is really the star of the show. In order to get the quality and depth of colour we were looking for across each piece, it was necessary to use pure silk. I wanted to have dresses that could be versatile, worn by the pool on holiday or with pretty heels for an evening out. With dresses as the main focus, the challenge for me then was to match a coat to the collection. I had wanted to do the perfect mac for a long time & this was the ideal occasion. I think it all works together really well. We thought long and hard about each piece & I always hope that our customer will wear it how she feels best, mixing it with favourite pieces from her existing wardrobe."
