Organized by the Academy of Design - in association with Sri Lanka Apparel, the EDB and the Ministry of Industrial Development - with the objectives of exemplifying and gaining international acknowledgment for Sri Lankan art and design, the Sri Lanka Design Festival seeks to provide a blend of artistic, principled and imaginative fashion shows, conferences, design exhibitions and workshops, all based on the fascinating craft heritage of Sri Lanka and its manufacturing industry. The festival's role is to link the country's creative culture with a specifically invited global audience.
