The Brazilian executive Nicésio Cascone recently extended his responsibilities as vice president of Operations of INVISTA, assuming responsibility for one of the company's factories located in the United States.
Cascone used to be responsible for all units in South America and Mexico, and now has one additional plant in the U.S., for which he is now responsible: apparel manufacturing facility in Waynesboro, Virginia.
INVISTA's Waynesboro, Virginia operation manufactures LYCRA® fiber, which is used in apparel items such as hosiery, socks and sports apparel.
With over 25 years of experience in the polymer and fiber market, Cascone is assuming responsibility for the U.S. plant because of his expertise and experience in apparel fiber manufacturing.
"I'm excited to assume the expanded position. INVISTA's announcement also demonstrates the importance of Brazil for the company, which sees the country as a growing market," Cascone says.
